    Got a tri z 250

So I took the plung and traded my 04 400ex for a 85 tri z 250. For the most part this thing is clean for a tri z around here. It needs a little tlc but it's all there does anyone know where I can get parts for this machine. I swapped the hubs and tires off the ex but when we took the original hubs off the left side threads were stripped so I am gonna try to rethread it for now to get me through the summer and this winter I plan to rebuild it from the ground up

Ebay has a lot of parts. Sometimes Craigslist or Kijiji.

    You maid a good choice

I picked up my Tri-Z about 5 years back. Did a ground up rebuild on it and have loved every second of it. I bought almost everything on Ebay. Also fallowed the Yamaha Wrench Report that you can find on this site about engine work. It runs awesome then i found a 86 6 speed for it and the differenct was night and day it is worth every penny to find one. I went from loosing to my buddys built Raptor by 5-6 bike lengths to beating him by 5-6 with only installing the 6 speed. I am currently in the process of puting a 85 yz250 powervalve cylinder, ignition, and flywheel on it. i should have it together in a couple weeks. I Can't Wait! Click image for larger version.
