In addition to my sons 1980 ATC 110, I picked up a 1980 ATC 185 for myself (although my daughter quickly pointed out the injustice of it all and claimed the 185 for herself).
The 185 was in excellent shape except for a bent fork. I bought a NOS fork off eBay for it and need to swap them out.
Will I need any special tools to do this as noted in the manual or is there a work around? Thanks.

Nope. Rather straight forward. Just watch out for the ball bearings on the bottom side of the steering stem. They like to fall out and hit the floor running. A little trick that I use, is a one gallon ziplock baggy that I open up and let the ball fall into. Some of the ball bearings will likely stick to the race on the bottom side, so make sure to look for them and any that fall through the neck and get lodged in there, as well.

While you're in there, you might want to consider upgrading the steering neck ball bearings to tapered roller bearings -- it's a much better design. I just picked up an All Balls Racing kit on Ebay for $30.
