Yes, I believe they do. They are both 33mm tubes.
I believe the 1st gen 200X had steel caps and the 86/87 made from aluminum. I am not aware of any internal changes.

just so everyone is in the know......1st gen and 2nd gen 200x fork caps do NOT interchange......there is a difference in the threads and diameter of caps.

Chit, very sorry for that. What year do you need?? I can give you some free 1st gen.
Crap, same MM's, difference in material, 3/4 " longer; I couldn't imagine them not fitting.

Np DC.....I had already taken the plunge.....I was able to remove the valve from 1st gen cap and machined the aluminum cap to accept the valve so I am good to go I think....I will put fluid in tomorrow and see if it leaks.....
