200x oil leak on cylinder, please help identify if it's head gasket issue (PICS)

Lately, I've been finding oil around the fin where the cylinder meets the head, and I'm thinking that I need a new head gasket. If i need to take it apart, I'm going to do some engine work as well.

Yep that's the head gasket , I'm sure its just superficial oil leaking and not compression but if it bothers you replace it , I refer the fiber style head gasket over the new metal ones , they seem to seal a little better .

I've noticed a bit of a performance decrease as I began to notice the oil leak, so it might be losing a little bit of compression. I dont know if my dad has a psi meter for engines, cause I know that I dont.
I was thinking about replacing some internal stuff anyways, so this is an even better reason
I would like to get a stroker from powroll, maybe a small overbore (.010 or .020), and clean up the whole thing, maybe glass-blast the covers and paint them (or just polish them after blasting and leave them)
My pipe is getting a little rusty, any suggestions on how to paint it, and with what?

Yep, head gasket time... Well actually its not the head gasket, its the O-Ring on the dowel pin on that side, it just leaks out and runs around the whole top of the cylinder and it looks like its leaking everywhere. Just did a 200ES motor that was the same way, and my 200ES did that last year, they are the same as the 200X. It's pretty common, i actually haven't seen a dry 200 motor in a while that i haven't already worked on, that o-ring fails well before the head gasket does. You can re-torque the acorn nuts to make sure you have the right pressure on everything including that dang o-ring, but generally it will just come back. After you rebuild it and take it for a few rides let the motor completely cool back off, say overnight, then check the torque on them again, it will move a bit over time as you break in the new gaskets, just like replacing a head gasket or exhaust manifold gasket on a car, run then repeat.

be aware if you replace that you need all the gaskets and top end stuff with the base gasket also. you may just find your cylinder is wore too when doing this. I had a head gasket go bad on a xr200 its like $35 fix with everything ended up haveing to do an entire top end rebuild. $500 lol.

maybe that was for something else on the 200x page. all it says at 'powroll.com' is that the site is under construction. I cant imagine that a stroker would be above $500, and I have to send my old one in
Wheres mickey dunlap when you need him. we could just ask him

you need a done up head then, hardened valve and came. you spend another 500. just ask yaegerb on this site. its not a cheap mod. its cheaper to buy a 350x lol.

i have about 700 into a full motor rebuild in my bike. its nev er just a simple replace this part get 10 more hp outta it. bigger motor, bigger carb, bigger intake, list goes on and one. stronger clutch. reason i said add an extra zero to $160 is you wanna say the word powroll.

a 10.25:1 wiseco bored xr's cam and carb will do most just fine with a nice full exhaust. even thats about $1000 til your done when done correctly.
