Hi everyone I'm looking for 86 200x rear axle or info on a conversion

Hi I am looking for a 1986/87 honda 200x rear axle, they seem to be pretty scarce so if that's to much
Trouble info on a complete conversion would be great, I read that 84 250r axle will work but it was not
Clear exactly how to go about it, any and all info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi, I converted my 86 200X to the 84 250 R axle. Very simple. 1. remove original axle 2. If your carrier/axle bearings are still good you can leave them in. You will need to grind about 3/16" from the tops of the casting that makes up the carrier adjustment area to clear the sprocket bolts. 3. install a new dust seal on the sprocket side using a 83-84 atc 250 R dust seal, the brake rotor side dust seal will remain the 86-87 200X seal but it wouldn't hurt to replace it with a new one, slide the 83/ 84 R axle in. 4. install the 86 200X brake rotor and hub 5. Use the two 250R axle nuts in place of the anti-fade nut to tighten/install the axle 6. your done, you now have a wider 83-84 R axle on your 86 200X.
    Don't worry...just run watcha brung...
