A true Memorial Race indeed as Joc was a staple in the Ohio area running the MotoX trailer. Many of you board members have no idea who this guy was. Joc pulled a 60'gooseneck behind his Dully to all the Major Events around motorcross. He was a traveling bike shop with parts to swag...Many times he'd pull parts out of a box you'd never expect a rolling vendor to have. Always good for lenses and numbers but also ran a trade in boot selection for kids to adults, slightly used but great on price. He will truly be missed and it will be a sad intermission for us; but a great day of racing to Memorialize him. RIP as I only knew him as a customer when I attend events he frequented.

Practice was a mudhole but the afternoon shaped up. The 1st moto was a little rutted up and still muddy. The second moto was an absolute blast. Great racing as they cut the races all afternoon to 3 laps for second motos. This was my first time there and I will be back. Now that is old school racing! Good to see everyone and see everyone go home in one piece with a smile. It was a step up for me to be able to read garageboys rear numberplate the whole 2nd moto Thanks to everyone involved.

Smith Rd turned up it's nasty mohawk rut roostin smile over the Joc Memorial weekend. The track never looked better with I'm guessing over 100tons of new material. Sure the over watered clay like muck HP sucking soft spots still remain in areas, but no dust hardpack. Although it did rain it was light and passed by between our motos, keeping the track moist as well. Some of the turns had three main ruts making for some interesting line choices. The back straight has been reworked with the new 8pack woop section. The layout made for some fast times as they dropped over 30 full gates. Good to run with the Crew and visit with the Champ; as an all Ohio turnout put down some good laps. 7-7 on the day for me, as 9hit the gate in moto 1...DNF 2spots to finish pretty much last but had a blast trying to keep-up. Moto1 I was just able to catch the heels of Jr. but just didn't have it before the checkers. Moto2 conditions were much better and everyone was ready to get-it. Off the gate and up the corkscrew into the uphill jump it was nothing but roost from my point of view. A few pulls of the roll-offs and the chase was on over the up hill. I never gained time and was unable to for the remainder of moto2 never giving up I kept good pace. You BBTS guys are going to like the changes to the track, hope ya'all make one Holiday this year.
