84 250R starting problems

hello all

I have an 84 250R that ran great before i swapped frames.

Everything off of the old frame went onto the new frame.
It does get fuel to the carb and into the cylinder.
It does get spark.


It will start briefly but then just die out. Then it won't start at all.

I did try swapping All the electrical components, and it still did the same thing.

not too sure what is going on with it.
Any help would be awesomes!!

Have you made sure that you are not loosing spark? Will it restart using starting fluid? If it does then you have a fuel supply issue. If not, you have a spark issue. Either weak or none at all. Are all your grounds good, tight, and clean? Check all the electrical connections, make sure they are tight and clean. Is there any crap in the fuel tank or fuel line?

Have you changed the spark pliug? I've seen many bad plugs cause the same issue.

It was the spark plug.
changed it out this morning, and she started first kick.

I'll let you know how it does driving a little later.

The bike runs now, but doesn'tseem to hit the powerband.
