    Yamaha 200ek shift shaft help

    Does anyone know where i could find a shifter shaft for my 1983 yamaha 200ek? its either i find one, or ill have to part it out, and id rather throw it off a bridge than do that, its been wonderful these few years, and i hate to see it go, but if i cant find one, im SOL. Please help!

    If you get Yamaha part number 3GH-18103-01-00 (99 2wd Timberwolf) it will work. The shaft is about 1.5" too long but if you flip the linkage 180 and put the ball socket for the shifter on the other side it will work. Takes less than three hours and the part was less than fifty bucks.
