83 CR250R Exhaust on an 83-84 ATC?

I've been hunting around for a pipe for my 83 250r because I'm sure there's gotta be something other than the DG pipe out there. Looking at the different iterations of the cr250r, I see that the 83 also rolls the pipe to the left of the bike.

Since they're similar motors, does anyone know if an aftermarket pipe that would fit an 83 cr 250 would work on the 83-84 atc's?

Only a pipe made to fit your bike will fit it. A CR pipe would require so much modification that it might not be cost effective. You might be better off taking that money for the pipe and buying a low restriction silencer for the orig pipe if that pipe is what you have and get some cylinder porting done. The stock pipe with a low restriction silencer works pretty good on those.

Fair enough. It's too bad DG doesnt make a plated version of that pipe.

Any recommendations on the silencer? I have absolutely no sound restrictions so I can be loud as hell. In fact, I wouldn't mind that...
