    I admit I have welded a frame ( repair ) plus shifters and hubs in the past. Most of the time it requested by the customer to save money. Now I do not put 2" of weld on anything though. I have gotten a few machines that were used for years of welder practice. I look the machines over as best possible before buying and base my offer on condition. Yes I have had a few machines that I told the owner that it was only worth scrap value due to issues ( welding, exploded motor, ect ). With the machines being this old you just about have to expect some Jerry Riggin ( some more than others ).

    Look at some old classic cars. I have seen some with more Bondo than actual metal.
