    ATC 200es - 200x front end swap

I'm putting a 200x front suspension on a 200es. Problem is that the steering stem is about 1" too short. Is there a steering stem that I can use from another bike?. Or do I have to get the existing stem extended some how. Has anyone got any experience with this challenge?

Bren_downe, thanks for the post. I cannot see the pictures on the link you posted yet as I'm only just registered. Does the stem simply replace the standard 200x one?. Does it take standard 200es headset bearings?. If "yes" is the answer, then where do I get one ASAP?. Appreciate your referal.

Ol Duece is the member who makes and sells them, first you grind the stem off of you 200es lower clamp then make 4 holes in 200es stem, the adapter slides into the stem and you plug weld the holes. The bottom of the pin presses into the 200x lower clamp and your ready to go with the 200es bearings and races.

How do I make contact with Ol duece? I love the concept & wish to buy the adapters. Also which headlight do you recommend for the 200x headset? Another question, what have other people done with the mount for the ignition key, neutral & reverse lights? I've used a "vapour" dash on one of my bikes and that would give me the ability to add a speedo & tachometer which would be cool.

Cheers Bren_downe, thanks for the support. It's all comming together slowly. I've built several project bikes in the past, I know that at times you feel like 2 steps forward & one step back!
