Bringing the 200x back to life!

Need your opinon! I purchased a 1985 200x about a year ago with it i was pretty much given a parts bike, another 200x its a complete bike plastics are a little faded and seat is torn. Other than that the bike is decent shape the engine had siezed is what the seller told me so im considering bring it back to life with a lifan engine 200c. Is it worth it money wize? or should i just buy another bike i plan on using it for trails strictly; so i dont mind if it gets beat up a bit. My other 200x is in great shape so i dont want to mess with it thats why i want to buy or build another bike for that. What donu guys think?

I would love to just rebuild the old one but this parts bike was stored outside in clear air, so everything engine related looks rusted out and beat up! theres been water inside the engine from what i can tell the spark plug has been out of it fo who knows how long; exposing an entrance for water! Is it worth saving that engine or get a new one?

If you got the time, tools, skill or the drive to learn and do things correctly, and pocket change, these things are easy to do. And a ton of fun start to finish

I put a Loncin (same as Lifan) in an 84 200x I bought with no engine. I loved it. The e-start spoiled me right away. It was faster than my other, stock 200x but the stocker was tired and the Loncin had a Bassani pipe.

The engine came out of a dirt bike I bought for under $200.

Those are real nice bikes! Thank you for the help i will definatley look to see if it will be cheaper to rebuild the engine or see if maybe i can get my hands on one thats in running condition!
