250R motor ID

I got this motor from my brother in law and have no clue what year it is. I was hoping the experts out there could tell me and wether its an atc or trx motor. Im going to be selling it and want to be able to describe it accurately. The numbers on the side of the motor are TR06E- and underneath that is 2406324. The number on the carb is 37AAWG. The carb is a keihin. Also, is the sprocket guard a hard to find piece? Any ideas on the price of everythng? Thanks in advance.

Yes it looks like a 85 motor to me as well .

85 atc was TB06E-2400001~
86 atc was TB06E-2500001~
86 trx was TBO6E-1000014~1021097
87 trx was TBO6E- 8000015~8008442
88 trx was TBO6E-8100014~8109454
89 trx was TBO6E-8200001~

The number on the side of the motor you listed is incorrect, there was never a "TR06E", they are all TB06E. Anywho, you have a 1985 250R engine. The sprocket guard on that motor is stock. I sold a NOS sprocket guard for the 1986 about 3 months ago and it only brought me 21 bucks on ebay.

Thanks for the replies guys. My brother in law said its been in his shop for 15 years or more, it was a spare he had for his atc. It shifted through all the gears and the piston looks good from the exhaust port. I havent pulled the reeds to see if there s any porting. It turns over but should probably be taken apart to be cleaned. Yes it will be for sale but i dont know how to price it. Pm me shortline if you re interested in making an offer. Im going to trikefest thursday, id liketo sell it there or at least find ride to its new home
