    Old Dune Rider

New to this site, not much computer knowledge learning how to post. Built several hopped up 3 Wheelers since 1980. Started with a '80 ATC 110 bored and stroked to 205cc on Alcohol running Glamis Comp hill. My signature lists past and current toys. Recently retired and hope to share my knowledge with fellow addicts.

    Glad you made it.
The search key is my best friend sometimes.

Looking fwd to your wisdom and suggestions.

There are a few of us retirees on here.

I drove cross country to Oceanside in 1971 from Virginia.
Maiden voyage of a 1958 Triumph.

    Always wanted to live there.
Is it still coastal country living?

Welcome. New to the site myself.
Went to Glamis in 83. Awesome place.
Definitely want to hear more about the 205cc 110. I'm thinking 62x65??? I bet you had to have both hands on the pull handle.

Big Al and Joseph, Sorry no pictures, didn't understand the importance at the time to capture memories during the late seventies and eighties, my world was pretty foggy. The bike build started with a Helm & Son 67mm stroker crank and 13:1 piston in a Pauter Machine Co cylinder with 1/4" stroker plate. Mikuni 26mm carb drilled 1/8" needle jet and filed needle. Fun time running comp hill and on some occasions 20% nitro mix, liquid horsepower.....and yes I broke many a rope starting that monster.

Remember running across a couple locals down here....Sonny Loo and Mark J. ? If you ran that kind of a motor, you ran against them and their alky / nitro burning 110's most likely I'll talk to them and see if they remember anyone from your area.

Rapid, I do remember Sonny and think his brother, they were valley locals, raced them at the hill who ever got thru the whop-de-do's would win, no suspension in those days, I used a Honda accessary front tire Chevron, Scat Trac 10 paddle haulers, two piece wheel.

you know we are racing in anza on july 14th. If you got something running we could use the show. If not come out and bullshit with us. I had an alchy 110 from one of the owners of big als and it had a bandito frame. amazing how that stuff disappears and no idea where. My parents were real good friends with ol joe at Big ALs. Look forward to meeting you at the races if you can make it. glad you found the site. take care
