200x lifan swap vs. auto X

So I bought an 83' 200x. Wanted to build it up for my wife to ride. Also Have a 85' 350x and 85' 200s. I bought a 200cc Lifan motor off e-bay cheap and was in the process of installing it in the 200x. First off I have to say it's a pain in the butt. Lots of money, time and work for what it is. Pretty much finished the install but can't get the clutch cable right. Any suggestions on that? Tried a stock cable and shorter one for Lifans. Both have presented problems. Then I thought to myself wait I have a 200s motor with the auto clutch which would be perfect for my wife to cruz around on and much more comfortable than the actual 200s that she's used to. She loves the look and feel of the 200x. So my question is, what would you guys do if you had the option of these 2 motors? I already have the rear brake set up re-arranged to work with either motor using a 200s brake pedal mounted onto the right foot peg mount. The lifan is brand new and would have the E-start but the kick start is a problem due to it being made for a dirt bike. The 200s motor runs strong and doesn't smoke but is old. I was told you should use the top end of the 200x motor for the auto X swap. Is this true or can the 200s motor swap right in? Thank you for any input.

You can put the 200s right in no problem.depending on what year your 200 motor is you may need to do a rear sprocket change for longer gearing.mine was fun but reached 5th too quick and left you wanting a little more.if you have a 200x Carb and exhaust it will have plenty of pep to play around on.200x just has bigger cooling fins on jug.
