its fine to mix them. when you buy medium octane, it is a 50/50 mix of premium and regular. most gas stations only have 2 holding tanks, but sell 3 different octane ratings, so you figure it out. haha. i used to work at a small town gas station and had to dip the tanks daily.

I have always bought 93 octane for my 84 250r until one day I thought it was just a placebo affect because these bikes are not high compression. So I went out and bought 83 octane and it made a world of difference. I rode for about 10 minutes and drained all the gas and my expensive Honda HP2 oil... I have never put anything lower than 93 in it since lol...

I worked at Swifty gas years ago...I asked the tanker driver where he filled up at..he said up the road in Reddington where all of us do..So I payed attention to who gets gas from there, all these stations..BP, Swifty, Co-op,Kokolene,Shell all come from the same damn place...and then they swear by their additives...and yeah..we have stations with 2 tanks..one for Diesal one for all the the octanes...big joke among gas company's I bet
