    185 top end compatible with a 200es top?

    My 84 200es is starting to burn some oil.i have a 185 motor that is pretty tight but I'm not sure if I could swap the top end or not.

    yes, but you will loose 200cc and that also means loosing about 1.5-2hp.
    you may be beter off just getting a bigger pisotn and have your cyclidner bores and honed to the new piston. plus you coudl get qa wiseco 10.25:1 and really get a decent runnign motor even with stocker parts. jsut need to re-jet carb is all.
