Ashatabula Ohio 2013- Disrespecting the"unknown" Tiger

For those of you who may be unaware, the trikes were out in their full glory this weekend representing us faithful followers of the three wheel machine. Once again Pine Lake delivered a show any race fan would be proud to have seen. Even better was the fact that Vealmonkey was kind enough to let Eric Tilton race his Tiger 250 this weekend, allowing us Tiger fans to see one in the environment they were specifically built for. Mr Tilton finished an impressive fourth in his qualifying heat race. Below are two photos of the results of the heat race. The first photo shows the results before Vealmonkey ordered me to right the wrong. The second photo is after his wishes were granted.

Although not my place to steal Eric's thunder, I am pleased to announce that he piloted Veal's machine to an impressive third place podium finish! Way to go Eric, and hats off to you Pat for allowing Eric to represent the few, the proud, the unknowns!

I live an hour away, and misspelled Ashtabula. I'm sure I will hear about that!

I must add that all of three wheeler classes showed up to impress, with some awesome racing being handed down by many of the current, and currently banned members. I spoke with many diehard trikers this weekend, and it felt good to be in the presence of so many who share our passion. Thanks goes out to Bud Fischer, Tim Stefanko, and all of the participants who made this weekend a great show.

Robert, I can't thank you enough for righting the wrong of the unk trike. LOL I owe you big time. Sorry I didn't get your call earlier, but I've managed to receive a couple long winded phone calls this evening and I was talking on the phone. I can't thank Eric enough, just mainly glad he is safe and had fun. I can't thank blue27 enough for all he's done as well as all the other Tiger owners that contributed all they did during the build of this trike. I'm just sorry I wasn't at the races to see the hard work that everyone has done to get their machines to make races like this possible. Still tons of people that I've never met that I would like to meet. I just really interested in seeing how every one else made out. I hope that nobody got hurt. Congrats to everyone that made all this possible. Thank you Robert for the pics and the shirts.

thanks bob for posting this! it was a real pleasure to meet you and your dad. i only wish i had gotten a pic of you and i with the tiger... i got a real kick out of the "unk" branding especially since i heard the announcer talking last yr of cagiva's and tigers.lol i have some interesting photo's to post and once my wife gets them straigh i will post a couple up. while it was an amazing opportunity for me to run the only tiger on the track i must admit that i cant decide the greatest part of my weekend. placing 3rd in the main was a huge accomplishment not only for me but all tiger fans but having my picture taken with a former pro tiger racer in the line up shoot was astonishing! i'll try to get some of these photo's up before the weekend is forgotten. thanks so much Pat for giving me the opportunity to take the first tiger to a national event in probably 25yrs! thanks to bruce from blue line decals for building one amazing trike and for all your support with what we have tried to do for Team Tiger. thanks to Jason Hall from Halls Performance for your willingness to lend a profeshional opinion on our jetting issues. thanks to all the guys that came out of the woodwork with jets to dial this wildcat in. and thanks to anyone else that helped or just showed interest in the Tiger.

Daryl race the Tiger while I was there as the team manager and racer. To be honest I didn't remember him then but I sponsored him when I first opened Four Stroke Tech in 88' on his 250x.
