1986 Yamaha 225 dr clutch problem

Hi im new to three wheeler word
I have a 1986 Yamaha 225 dr and I have a clutch problem. It will idle perfectly but when I put it into gear it either dies or if I give it a little gas it will stay running but it wants to move. I'm pretty sure it's the clutch
but I have never worked on a clutch. I do have a 85 Yamaha 225 dx for parts.
So my question is how do I get to the clutch and what will I need to do?

    Sincerely,
    Daniel

I don't understand "it will stay running it it wants to move." You just put it in gear - it SHOULD want to move. ???

If you have the automatic clutch, it may just need adjusting.

I did a search on that earlier, found the answer quick. On my Yamaha 225 DX there is a slotted adjustment screw next to the right foot peg. Loosen lock nut, turn screw counter-clockwise until you feel resistance, turn screw clockwise 1/8 turn, hold screw in that position with screwdriver and tighten lock nut.

Lock nut on mine takes a 12mm wrench.

I found what you said but it didn't solve my problem. All that did was adjust the shifter lever stiffness.i have an extra clutch that I know is good I just don't know what side and what steps really need to be taken. Like if I go to take it out is a bunch of parts going to shoot out.
