is it a good trade? 400 rancher for 86 200x

i have i 400 es rancher AT its a 06 and 4x4 500 hours 800 miles on it crappy brakes but runs like new and looks good. i think it is worth about 2500 bucks but i
have not been trying to sell it.

i can swap it for a very clean all original except for a cobra pipe and dura-blue axle 200x .

i would love to have the x but i would not want to be getting the short end of a deal.

    what do you think?

Any pics?? But sounds like your quad is probably worth more than the trike?! 2500$ is a bit steep for a 86 200X

There is no way I would EVER trade an 06 Rancher for a trike, even a 250r. You say its only worth 2500? The thing is only 7 years old, and they are ,,,, 11000 new? I sold a 99 400 last year for 3500. Sell the quad, and buy 3 trikes

i paid 6 or 6.5 for it back in the day.

i guess i just did not realize its actual value today.i have no love for the thing its still all bone stock and does not do it for me like the 3 wheelers .i get the warm fuzzys for 3 wheelers . the rancher is nice and all but its a dud when i look at it.

i am ape over the x i dont want to put of pics of it .but it is retarded nice factory everything no rust.

i was kind of thinking it was not a great trade i mean it is a kick start non 4x4 single rider machine 20 years older then my bike... but its just bad as hell .i would love to just own it
for no good reason at all except to clean and oil it.

400 Rancher is by far and away THE crappiest thing HMC EVER produced !!! Having said that. Wash it,wax it,shine it and polish it. Take GOOD pics, throw it on CL, Sell it for $2500- $2750,and Walk away. No way is that little X worth giving up your 4x4 !
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

Like mentioned above, sell it and buy a nice 250r or 350x! I would not do a straight trade for the 200x though.

Agreed. Can't beat a 4x4, and the trike just doesn't have the value that Rancher does. If you do decide to keep it, get EBC "G" series shoes for it, and it will stop much much better. But, I know how you feel about the trade, lol.

Try to get an extra $1000 on top of the trade. Then it's worth it!

Someone else said it earlier in this thread but I just wanted to agree with them. The rancher AT is a black eye in the history of Honda atv's, what's even worse is that some of the china clone companies are producing this engine now and with lesser quality they are ticking time bombs. I have personally had to completely rebuild more than one odes 400 with low hours already.

Yea, that quad was not a good replacement for the 350.The 420 though is one fine machine!

A super cherry 200X should be around $1200. They sell nice ones every day for $800. Sell the stinking kwad and buy 2 sweet trikes.
