1974 Honda xl350 3wheeler? is anyone seen this before? any info would be great.

I bought this the other day because I had never seen another before. Its a 1974 Honda xl350 frame, tank, forks, bars and headlight, It has 3 wheeler rear end and what looks like a conversion kit for the triple tree and the seat/fairing. I believe you could get these as a kit to change over your bike to a 3 wheeler. I am only guessing, Any information as to if this was a kit you could order or is it just a custom, I paid 600.00 and the kick start doesn't work.

You paid $600 for that? Was listed for $400 obo the other day. Prior to that it was listed for $250 if I recall correctly(was somewhere in the $100-250 range I remember that much). It was offered to me for $150 a few months back. Thing has been changing hands like crazy....

Tricky Dicks, the same place that did the Cagivas did conversions as well as 1 or 2 other places. They even had the kits for cb750s. The street bike conversions were kind of heavy. There were also places that made custom frames that would fit street bike engines, which were much lighter. Early frames were hardtails, just like the early stock honds. Later frames had suspension. Hardtails in the desert weren't all that bad with hardtails and soft sand tires. I've got an aftermarket frame that fits a Yamaha r5, rd350 or rd400. There were even aftermarket frames that fit the h2750 kawi 3 cylinder, 2 stroke engine. Crazy stuff.

dude that is totally sweet. $600 is 2 rich for my blood though just sayin i built my auto-x for a whopping 425 bucks including gas n oil 4 the first ride, but that bike is sooo cool. I wonder if you can make it street legal if you put on dot tires and file for lost title 4 a street bike.
