Been working on this one for almost a year now. I'll post pics in replies after i type all this out...
Started off i was just gunna freshen up and get my first/favorite trike ever running again. 79 ATC110. I killed it in a water hole on the river a couple years back. All it did was stretch the timing chain when it went under at WOT (LOL). Well, i start cleaning it up, painting the frame and all. then a friend was like "Hey i'll build the crap out of your engine for you" (10 months ago) So there it started. Well, now ive got a BAPP 55mm big bore kit, 69 SL90 transmission, 65 S90E manual clutch, Rocky race grind cam, Sudco shorty intake, bought the wrong carb (supposedly bought a VM24 but its actually 28mm so i need the correct carb), Super-Trapp exhaust, and a bunch of other stuff,, basically about $1400 worth of parts. (and this all started with a dead timing chain). and then i needed a frame to hold it all together. So ole ManBear hooked me up with a Nicholson. It's all cleaned up and repainted now, waiting on the motor to be done. and then i got to thinking about suspension, and ole RapidRick hooked me up with what i believe is a PK Racing front end, so now all i need is a front axle. Well i decided i wanted disk brakes. So i order front and rear 7" wave rotors and dual piston calipers off evilbay. And now i gotta just get my hubs machined up to run them as well as the mounting hardware and a shorter front brake line. I do gotta get my rear fenders repaired and get my fuel tank finished up and those painted and a seat pan made as well. It's getting there though.
But yea, i just got my engine PARTS back saturday so i am working on getting the engine together now. 10 months wasted basically.
But hey, it's given me time to build another Nicholson framed 110 in the process. It's my "stock" bike. being .050 over (getting a rocky 55mm piston in a minute though), MSR Glamis Grind cam, ported/blue printed head and intake and carb and its been rejetted. I need to go ahead and vent that one because i blew the stator side gasket out (herp derp) and i accidentally scored another trans shaft that will allow me to cut the high/low range out of this one as well lol
But yea, thats it for now. On to pictures. I'm not gunna start with the very first pictures of it as a stock frame and all. Just gunna throw up the more recent pictures, and if y'all wanna see its old stock self i can always put those up later.![]()
