trx300 motor in a 250 big red frame

i need help wiring my 300 motor in my big red frame. i been searching and cant find anything. does anyone know how to wire up a honda 300 motor in a honda 250 big red frame with the big red wire harness

Awww.....this is a wiring question. Man I honestly completely missed that! Guess i should go get some caffeine! Do you have both diagrams and have you identified what is common and what is not?

I don't think you can just plug and play but I may be wrong here. The charging and ignition is wrapped in with everything else on the harness.

Worst case you need to identify what you need on the engine and how that is wired into the 250 harness.

You'll need to identify the charging, ignition and starting circuits, what each item is and on each harness and rewire accordingly. I think if you tell us what year your dealing with on both the 250 harness and the motor, we can help you out.

Im taking the top end out of a trx 300 and putting it in a 1985 Honda BR 250es. the bottom end is all the same just changing the top... Bounced up 50cc's
