I just restored my 85 250r. when I bought it I had to bore the cylinder to a 69mm piston. putting the displacement to 269. when I kick it to start it it springs back and just about breaks my foot in half, is this normal? lol

try a thicker head gasket to drop the compression a little... you should probably do a compression test to determine where you are at comp wise and where you want it to be... it will get easier to kick after you break it in, but at the same time you don't want to hi comp.
