    86-87 Tecate Experts have ???

I am in the process of a Oem Tecate restoration. What did the factrory use as far as coloring on the axle,
Brake hub, sprocket hub. Were they just cast metal or painted .I am pretty sure the carrier was silver. Any OEM picks would be great

    Thanks Jim

I've restored my 86 Tecate close to the OEM look. I'm not a purist, however, so I did add a few things like Kawasaki green hubs, DWT rims, etc. I've also done some serious mods to the engine. For the frame I used a powder coat color called silver sparkle--it was the closest color I could find to OEM. It's just a little more sparkly than OEM but that just makes it look all the better. The OEM hubs, axle, etc. were all bare metal. The swingarm and carrier were silver. Again, I'm not an OEM purist but I like to keep it close to the original look, no green or blue frames. Here are some pictures of mine.

Axle and hubs were zink or cad plated, I've seen them both ways...
