86 200x axle problems

i have a 86 basket case i've been working on. some one on ebay listed a 83-85 axle as a 86 so now i got that. i've read that i can make it work. anyone know how to? what carrier? what bearings? that type of thing. or willing to trade it for a real 86 axle. also looking at getting a 84 200x. it has a twist throttle i'm not a fan of them. anyone know how easy/ hard it is to convert back to thumb?

Can't help with the axle... but generally the twist throttle conversion includes the whole cable to the carb. If you find a thumb throttle with cable it's a real easy switch. Just open the top of the carb and put the needle/throttle slide on the new cable, then slide it back in the carb and attach the other end to the handlebars.
