    86 200x resto/mod/sink a lot of cash

    Well I finally got home and was able to tear into this money pit project of mine heh.got the motor out have been working on it on the side ..frame looks like its in really good shape after degreasing..have been soaking everything in knock r loose and pb blaster for when I break the rest down ordered a new headlight assy mine was beat up..fenders ..gasket kits front and rear bearings , taillight assy, I was actually going to buy a lowtime motor on ebay but I thought about it to long and someone got it..You know who you are heh ..you snooze you loose though..I appreciate every ones help thus far more pics to come later.

    Future plans..powder coating frame, new cables , finish motor and paint it (any recommended paint? Just any ole high heat ?)
    I've already got some holeshots for the rear and a kenda for the front..

    Your making me miss me 86 200x. Its down in Missouri. I won't get to throw a leg over it till next summer. But any way can't wait to see more and nice score on the tank. That's a hard one to find.

    I'm completely new to the 86 200x and have been surprised by the prices of parts and availability for sure..and have ran into some pitfalls for my lack of research but it will be worth it in the end heh

    Well all pictured is powder coat but for little parts like the clutch lever ect I'm just spray bombing.
