EBC clutch removal tool for tri-z (anybody tried it?)

Just got my clutch tool and it doesn't seem to fit, many sellers on ebay have the same one listed for the tri-z model ct008. It does fit on the clutch boss but not in the basket. Only four notches align with the basket, I'm thinking of cutting the other notches, as long as I can hold the boss I guess it'll be OK. Anybody seen this before or do I just have the wrong tool?
    Thanks

That is weird. Call EBC and ask. If you are in rush to use it you could cut the tabs like you said, but good luck getting it exchanged after that.

The seller I got it from is contacting EBC about this but yes I'm a little anxious to ride my Z, as soon as I get my parts I think those tabs are going to get cut off.

Ive always been able to pull my clutch off without any clutch tool. Id just carefully wedge the handle from my channel locks between my sorocket and case, this locks up everything and allows you to remove the clutch. I used a pair with the rubber handle do it does not scratch up my case.

Or the circle end of a 13/16 wrench on the sprocket will work the same way.

    Anyone else do this?

I used an air impact to remove the clutch, I got this tool so I could tighten the nut to the right torque when reinstalling.
