I called him, grabbed some cash and was out the door and a customer pulled in so I couldn't get there today. If he has it still in the morning I'm there.

If it's real, worst case, offer a little more.
Has worked for me in the past.

I'm just waiting for him to call back to see what time I can be there. He has title in hand.

Well he just called it's still there so unless the farmer from Finksville (or something like that) gets it in the next few hours it's mine in the morning.

Just got home, post up some pics in a bit. If it makes you feel any better Mickey its not a showroom condition bike. It's nice but sadly its a shore bike. The salt has hit a few pieces. I'd rate it a 7.5 out of 10, and I'd have to say it was priced right for the shape its in. Good is the plastic is very nice, engine runs good, everything works, bad is that anything that was bare chrome or plating has surface rust.

Definitely is a low hour machine otherwise. Pics and more info soon, I'm gonna clean it up to a strong 8 but it'll never be a 10 or 11 without a couple thousand.

You didn't miss out on the little old lady three wheeler but definitely the old puttering man one.

That makes me feel worse,I was thinking it may have been too nice to molest. But it sounds like I would have been let down a little at the same time.

I was going to get it and make it into a sleeper with a new 435cc kit and four valve head.

I have a trx300 4x4 engine I'm thinking about nabbing the crank out of to swap into this. Pretty sure the difference is in the stroke between these engines. Sound about right to you?

Honestly you probably would have been disappointed.

I played with it a little more, idles a little high and rough, pretty sure needs the carb cleaned.

Other bad news, the driveline feels good and tight but there's definitely blue rtv on the rear. Someone fibbed a little, I suspect the rear end has been apart/ rebuilt. Gear oil is clean as a whistle though so I'm leaning towards rebuilt, I'll do some more inspection/ testing tomorrow. Pics in a few mins.

    Wow,that doesn't sound good!

The crank is a little longer stroke, but the 250 has a 19mm pin and the 300 has a smaller rod with a 17mm. I stroke the 250 to the 300 stroke and add my big pistons to build 380's for the mudders down south. I have a 315 big bore kit that is faster then the 300's which are really only 282's.
