    Atc 250sx vs atc 200x

What's the difference between a atc 250sx and a atc 200x? And what one is faster?

250sx is kinda a hybrid, half sport half utility, because the 250es is full utility. i dont know of any head to head speed test, but like sp8 said the clutch gives an advantage if you can drive it right. I'm not sure how the reverse and shaft drive affect which is faster :

If your in reverse your not going forward therefor making you lose the race.

A 200X is much quicker than a 250SX, they may have similar top speeds though.

I have both. the 200x is definitely more fun to ride, much sportier and handles much better. and with the clutch you can keep the rear tires spinning easier for cornering. the sx is heavier and with all three tires being balloons it is a little awkward to ride.

OEM tires are crap..and if your SX has balloons you aren't giving the two trikes a fair comparison!!

But with the right tire setup like this for example(pic below)

..the SX will OWN the X!! Maybe not on the track, but in the trail riding it's the winner by far!

This isn't just a one trike own opinion..I've had MANY of each of these trike over the years, played with them and their setups and found the best qualities of the machine!!

The SX has always been under-rated..the versatility of this trike knows no bounds!!

I agree that the SX is a way better bike than the X.

Had and SX, currently have an X. If you want to Gripit'n'Ripit (see what I did there) then go for the X. However, I've always enjoyed the SX. Definitely more versatile and just more fun IMHO.

I got 3rd place at tf this year in the mid size suspended mx... on my 86 250sx-the only thing not stock on my bike are the tires..... spanked a couple 200x's that day .... after the race she crossed the river... I'd like to see a 200x try that...

With a 2nd gear start (technically 1st gear start since Honda considers 1st is really "LOW") she'll smoke any stock & maybe even lightly modded 200x...

The X is going to be much lighter, have better suspension and much more fun to throw around.

I have owned both. For just putting around the SX is great, but if you wanna have more fun and go faster or jump at all I would go with X myself. There are a lot more times I find myself wishing I had the 200x then the the 250sx

Interesting, I'd like to hear more opinions.... I'm debating which to get myself. I really want a 350x, but they all go for top dollar.

I've found 200x's and 250sx's that I can afford for now, and I can get a 350 down the road (can never have too many right?).

I'm a pretty big guy (6 foot 250ish) so I'm leaning toward the sx, especially since I think I'll get a 350 down the road.
