I have a 1986 200x and I have been considering putting on a after market exhaust. If I put on a new pipe what else will need adjusted on the bike? Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated thanks .

Re-jet the carb new plug and I would get a uni air filter if you don't already have one. That's what I would do if I was putting on a new exhaust. Also if you Havent adjusted you valves in a while I would do that as well. Its real easy on the second gen x.

Not really sure about the power gain from an aftermarket exhaust. I think the only one available new for the second gen is the DG and I have heard they are really loud. I have always been happy with the stock performance of the bike. I'm sure other people will drop in here that know a little bit more.
