    Tire size

Hello.Im really confused about the tires on this 83 200e I bought.
I bought a new front tire which is the 25-12-9 and put it on. The back tires are labeled the same
25-12-9 and are way smaller in diameter. I mean like three inches. WTF.
Are Chinese measurements different than the Japanese? Lol. Thanks.

I've noticed this before as well. I bought a "Nanco" brand tire for my 83 200 which is the same size as yours (25x12-9), and it seems a little taller and definitely wider than the other trike tires I have that size. Not sure if it's a 'Made in China' thing. I've also noticed that tire pressure can play a huge factor on how tire size appears to be. Two identical tires side by side will look like their different sizes if the tire pressure is only off by a bit!

Yeah the two on the back state 2.2 psi and the new one on
The front is 7 psi. But three inches difference in height seems
    Like a lot

Modern tire manufacturing seems to have a huge size tolerance..meaning this is a common complaint from one manufacturer to another.

Of course there are also lots of variables on tire construction also. But the how size thing stamps on the side of the tire seems to be a suggestion and not a certification of standards!

Probably not relevant in this case but tires can be overinflated and it causes them to stretch. I think it usually happens with the US90 tires you see floating around. That's why you see when people buy them they want measurements.
