honda 200s All Balls steering bearings.

I am just now throwing my bike back together and the bearing race will not set in the top of the neck (The bottom one will though). Is there a way to just replace the steering bearings with the old style that was in there? I'll post some pics in a minute.

Had the same problem on my Tri Z. All balls makes the kits so they fit many applications. On mine the top race stuck out about 1/2" or less. It works fine though. Just make sure the race is bottomed out and install the tapered steering bearing and the dust seal and place your dust cap right back over the top. Should work just fine for you, assuming you got the right kit. You can contact All Balls and they can probably confirm this for you. Hope it helps.

Yeah it will go on there, just doesn't leave enough thread for the screw that goes on top of the plate that the handlebars attach to. It has those two screws that go in the forks though. Guess I'll just do that : ).
Oh and thanks for the quick reply!

That lip that the screw driver is touching. Will that ring pop out? I haven't tried that. But don't want to scare it up trying.

Thinking about just selling the all balls kit I have and buying the OEM parts from bikebandit. Anyone know now many bearings are needed between the top and bottom? I think the price on bikebandit is per ball. I guess I could always just buy a box of 3/16'' bearings.

    Thanks,

    Justin

I thought maybe that was the old race pressed in there, but I couldn't get it out so I just used the old cone race/seal on the top (with new bearings and grease) and one of the newer all balls for the bottom.
