Barn find....New 200es added to the family!!!!!!!

Not for keeps though. Hasn't ran in 6 years. This is the other big red that was in the barn where I got my first one. Mine was originally the parts bike for this one. It's 100% complete, new tires too. Only thing this needs I'd a tank of gas, oil change and some washing. I'm going to clean the carb too.

Put a cap of gas in the plug hole, pulled the cord and it fired but didn't keep running. Good sign!

I'm getting it tuned up as a thanks to the couple who gave me my first big red. I'll have it for a month or so then give it back. I'll be first in line to buy it when the time comes.

Barn finds are the best!...and they usually have a good story behind them...

I recently got an '82 Big Red 200 for $100 because it didn't run, was covered in dust, the fenders were mildly cracked, flat tires, and a horse had eaten the seat. Afterwards I got a chance to talk to the sellers father, who was the original owner. He said he bought it brand new, rode it for about 3 hours, then rolled it down a hill. During the roll he was thrown and shattered his right arm. The bike was put away until now, and his arm is still deformed with limited mobility. So even though it was cosmetically rough, I have a a nearly brand new drivetrain that fired up 3rd pull with some new gas and oil.

Any idea of the history behind yours?

I got a Honda 110 from a farmer years back, he rode it one time. He said he flipped a wheelie and never rode it again, it was like BRAND NEW perfect. Sure there are more barn finds out there just waiting to be discovered!

It belonged to my friends new wife's last husband. He passed of heart attack 5 years ago. It hasn't moved since. It was theirs off the show room floor. It's hauled deer, rode kids around and worked their farm since. He took great care of it.
