    Vesrah vs OEM Connecting Rod?

As the title states, which would be better?

I have everything I need, just need the connecting rod, to finish the rebuild on the my ATC 200 bottom end.

Honda Conrod, bearing, pin and thrust washers = ~$180
Vesrah Conrod kit with everything = ~$100

Is it worth it to save $100 on this crucial part?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nate

I agree on OEM. Im not a big Veserah fan anyways. Their gaskets piss me off.

Their gaskets are all I'll use. No clutch, brake pads or rod kits.

A whole rod kit is hard to find, then the 3 color coded caged bearings as well.............

I also prefer the vesrah gasket kits, I use them in everything I own, and have never had a problem with any of them. I have not tried a vesrah rod kit, but I wouldn't be afraid to, they are made in Japan (not China) , and are made to exact OEM replacement and quality standards. I have tried the clutch kit and springs in a 200x, and it is still holding up perfectly after 5 years.

I had a vesrah rod put on my 200x crank, haven't put it back together yet but it's supposed to be up the OEM specs and it's made in japan, not China

    Thanks for the responses guys.

I decided to go with just a Vesrah rod kit. $80 vs $220 and there was no information anywhere on the bearing color codes.
