    250r crank question

I have to rebuild the crank on my 84 250r (Air cooled)... is a hot rods crank an upgrade (stronger/lighter) than oem/nos??? I have all the NOS stuff (crank pin, thrush washers, bearing, rod) to rebuild one just wanted to know if I would be better off with a hot rods or versah crank kit...

this motor will be used solely for the drag strip-no trail riding...

Honda OEM always seems to be first choice IMHO.....

In most all cases factory cranks are great. I will say this; I have a Hotrods +4 crank in my 88 Warrior, and I run the piss out of it. Been in there since Feb. and it has been doing just fine. WITH 11.5:1 comp and 39mm FCR feeding it. I also know a couple other guys running the same crank, been running them for years, and none have had failure. Two totally different machines, yes, but same MFG.
