If I'm not mistaken, the 450r used the FCR for a while. I don't pay much attention to the 450 bikes, so I could be wrong. I know the YFZ uses the 39mm FCR, and I have one on my VERY modded Warrior. What a bad to the bone carb it is! Little weird to tune, but, it sucks in so much air that it sound's like it has a little supercharger. lol

Thanks guys! It took some convincing but well worth it! I got it from the mechanic at my honda dealership and the funny thing is that I really never thought he would sale it but every time i went in there for parts i would say "so you ready to sale that X yet?" He would always laugh a little and say no, i kept after him and then one time he said "ya know im thinkin about it" i couldn't believe it! Than about a week later i asked him again an he said yes..

I see I'm not alone in my love for this sucker! Lol. Only reason why I am using the Edel on my X is because I traded some Warrior parts for it. May put an FCR on it in the future. DC, do you have any experience with the PowerBowl? I've always been curious about it's hype.

I will give you advice that stems from my experience, on a totally different design of 350 4stroke (Warrior). Ditch the air box lid, run a K&N with Outerwears cover. Or, ditch the whole air box all together. This is what I have done recently, and made a splash shield under the filter. A better flowing induction tube from the filter to the carb is a must IMO. I do not know if the carb will fit into the stock intake manifold, I doubt it. I made my own intake manifold out of 1.5 pipe and 1 1/16" steel, port matched it, and used a silicone reducer tube to join it to the carb.

As for engine mods, you have a great start with the high comp and exhaust. Will it be enough for this carb? I don't know. Bit more cam would be nice with a ported head to get the most out of it. I believe Web has a bolt in cam that works with stock rockers and valve springs. May be enough, may not. All my bikes are very well modded, so I have never tried it on a fairly stock machine. I'll get some pics of my setup on here shortly.

They are a good, reliable carb. No accel pump though. There is a little kit that bolts in them that is supposed to make them snappy on the bottom end.
