    Question 1985-1986 Honda 250R Radiator Shroud(s)???

Can someone explain to me which color is the correct OEM color for the 1985 Honda 250R radiator shrouds? I see some on eBay with different part#'s, and some say "Current" Color, and some say Passion Red?

I want the OG color red, so, what color and/or part numbers do I look for?

    Thanks!

When did they change colors? Is there a big difference between the two?

I have a few sets of oem shrouds. They are all a bit different shade than each other. To my knowledge Honda never changed the color intentionally.
But all the Honda shrouds match better that any of the after market ones.

In the mid to late 90's Honda did a re-run of OEM plastics for the R.

The color of the stuff when delivered in 85-86 was a "tomato" colored red AKA Passion red.
The run they did the run for replacements in the mid - late 90's the colors were molded in a more "cherry" red. I would assume because of changes in material form the 80's they no longer were able to match the factory built plastics. It is a noticable difference with the fenders and headlights, and you can really see the shroud difference when you match the "new" OEM stuff to that 30 year old tank.

I have a mid 90's headlight shroud on my R, and my buddy has mid 90's fenders on his R and they all are a more cherry red than tomato colored.
