250r engine qestion

I have been looking for complete motors on ebay for my 83 250r. Am I doing something wrong ? I have not come across any in my searches. Surprisingly I found a 82 atc 250r motor about 3 hrs away. Needs a piston. He wants 200$. I believe that is a good price in Canada and no shipping costs. But I don't mind waiting for a motor on ebay. But do they come for sale occasionally on ebay.

There were a bunch on ebay several weeks ago. I believe the ones that say they will only ship to the lower 48 states will automatically not show up on your ebay, only places where they will ship. The 81-82 motor will.work, but you would have to use an 83-84r shift shaft, if you didnt know, they are different.

An 81-82 engine for $200 isnt a bad deal. Like you stated no shipping fees.Id go for it.
