    1985 yamaha yfm 200 moto 4

    I have a 1985 yamaha yfm 200 moto 4 bought for 300 bucks rebuilt the rearend, just tried to start it, it won't start I replaced the plug and cleaned the carb I also replaced the peckcock valve it was dirty. Idk what else to do, it wants to start but won't fire. please help

    Fresh gas and clean filter that has been properly oiled? Could be something as little as that. Did you check for spark?
    Sometimes i just push em up a big hill and get it to speed and put it in 2nd gear. Usually works if you have done all the small things. Cant hurt to try.

    I recommend going back through the carb again, mikuni carbs are a lot touchier than keihin carbs and get very pissy when there is debris in there. Also there is a starter jet in the bowl of the carb most people don't know about until it is plugged. Like stated above have you checked for spark yet? if it is orange and thin change your plug if it is still orange you will need to go through the stator and coil and also check the cdi and your ground on the wiring. if it fat and a blueish color it is all dealing with your carb. Assuming that you are in timing, but we will deal with that after everything else has been checked.
