    350X Sprocket Seal Question ......?

So apparently they do no make a sprocket seal for the 350x anymore. I have looked on bike bandit, motosport, cheapcycle parts, Service honda, and also called the
local dealer (idiots lol) and no luck at all.... So I looked up the exact Dimensions for the seal which are (i.d.) 22mm (o.d.)35mm (W) 8mm.
Then I looked on all balls website at their seal chart and they have a 22x35x7
The width is 1mm smaller...... I think I'll be ok with this one. Any thoughts ....?

    Thanks

I did a quick search and found this part number in Hondas marine catalog, it says its the same size seal and its cheap so it might be worth a try. Usually they have an arrow on the seal for rotation direction, as long as that's the same and it looks of similar design as the original, should be good. I'm sure the 1 mm shorter seal you found would work as well. That gives you some adjustability for a worn spot on the c.s.

Its worthy to note that Honda did not manufacture the seal. They bought various parts from vendors such as bearings, seals, and orings and packaged them with the Honda logo and their part number. The reality is as long as you have the seal dimension, you can buy a suitable substitute from any seal vendor or EOM manufacture. I would not trust the seal 1mm smaller. I did a google search on that seal dimension and came up with many hits including the one Tecate mentioned.
