    My first big red

It was love at first sight.

Runs like a dream, nothing wrong with it other than some proper knobby tires and a new recoil handle. Original condition. Just needs a good cleaning and it will be cherry. Im use to riding a 200s and compare that to this, its a tank. Makes me wanna put it in low range and climb a mountain.

Not a big fan personally of the hard tail BR, too hard on my back..but that is a nice machine.

I especially like getting one that looks like it has one or more of it's original tires still on it..it's a great way to gauge the total usage of the machine. You know it's gotta be low hours.

And the truth is the rear were probably replace due to age rot!!

    Nice score..

The guy I got it off of said it belonged to a firefighter and when he died it sat at the fire station for 15 years, they there called his daughter and said you need to get it out of here. So it sat inside a garage or indoors nearly it's whole life. He had the original tires, should of asked for them. I'm use to the hardtails, so I don't mind. I like them. Plus they are a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a 250es in this condition.

Nice way to crack the utility line up Ghost!

Like Doug mentioned, looks like the original front tire. I have the '83 200E as well, and like you say, the machine's just itchin' to go to work! Nice find

Oh yeah, I forgot about that little gem..that one messes me up!

That is the other reason I don't have one anymore more..took me a half day of riding to retrain myself when I switched back and forth to my other machines..

What could be easier about the shift pattern down five up five and neutral, easy peasy lemon squeezy... LOL

Seems like all i ride are down four or down five, except for one friends 125M which is up four, that one always messes me up riding it.

If you can go get those original tires you left behind i would, they sell for good money if they in decent shape, that is unless you have a use for them.

Yes, this is a pain in the butt. Whenever I switch between riding my 200/200E and 250ES I always have to conciously think in my mind about shifting. Otherwise never fails I end up downshifting on an upshift and rev the crap out of the engine!
