    crate 86 250r

So I had read on the crate 250r here on 3wheeler world when I first signed up.... I personally thought that it was awsome. Just the fact that it was still in the box never assembled. Then today I had found some disturbing news. It looks to me that the guy who had spent 50 grand on the crate trike, had actually put it togeather.... To me he lost 45,000... From what I had found bikes in mint to new condish only go for 5-6 grand.... If u guys feel that I'm wrong plz say so! Is love to hear everyones input here are the pic that I had found on facebook today if Yall hadn't seen them.Click image for larger version.

I don't think it sold for that much and its probably worth less than 10 grand now. If the guy spent that much on it he probably doesn't care, better than looking at a box .

It's a lot prettier to look at now, but I agree with you. It should of been left in the box.

But you have to think of it this way, he purchased it as a collector, not to make a profit.

I would have done the same thing. But I could not afford it nor would I want to just look at a box the cost that much.

I saw that on Facebook too. No idea it was assembled, personally I would have left it crated up just because. No reason to spend that much money on something just to break it out of the factory packaging. Can't imagine there's too many others floating around still in he crate

If I remember right it went for about $30,000. Either way, the man paid for it. It's not for us to tell him what he should do with it. If he wants to decrease the value. Let him. Personally... I'd put it in sealed glass case.

I gotta say though. For that much cash. You could buy a whole army of cherry trikes.

I would have put it together too! Why keep it and all it's glory hidden from the world??!!

But would I start it and/or ride it??? I'm not sure either way..

Knowing me, I would probably mod the hell out of it with all of my dream mods (if I could afford the crated R in the first place I guess I could afford every single one of my dream mods!), but you guys would probably call me crazy and a few other unmentionable things! LOL!

IDK, there is no way I would probably ever be able to afford a crated R.. So it's hard to sit here from my seat on my couch and speculate as to what I would do....

You know there is a thing on the federal level called the DMCA....

Some of these people should look it up before they go downloading others pics and reposting them without the original authors consent.

Not directed towards the author of this thread....People should probably start learning the law now before , they push it to a limit that becomes monitored or enforced by agencies almost to the point of having to watch scrambled porn...

Just because someone puts a pic on the net does not give others the right to download and redistribute for whatever reasons.
