open the picture, click file, save as, and when the window pops up look towards the bottom, should have save as and below that save as type. Open save as type and choose what you want it to be.

x.system, thanks but i already tried that...doesnt wanna work althou it should it is still saved as a bitmap image, and 3 wheelin geezer, i dont have photoshop...can you just download that off the internet or do you haveto buy it?

You can try a free program called Irfan View. Does a multitude of things, renaming is one of those features.
If you can't find it let me know and I will email you a copy.

You will still have it as a bitmap image. it will create a new pic that is jpeg. when you do this it will be at the end of the page in the folder until you close it. Try to rename it as well when you change it then do a search for it. It should be there.Originally Posted by TeCaTe_MaN

I got photoshop with my scanner. Its 5.o limited edition but its good enough i think. I used it to shrink my avatar to a reasonable level.
