Will a TRI Z front wheel work on a 225 DX front end? will there be any good reason to do this? the breaks will be something to think
about but will the wheel fit up no problems...like Axel size or tire size?

The 225 has drum brakes and the tri z has a disk I think you need to use the tri z shocks and brakes to make it work IIRC.
You might be able to use the 4 lug front hubs from the later model ytm225 I'm not sure I can't seem to find the bolt pattern specs for the tri z and all my 225's use the 3 on 100 rims so I can't compare.
so the axle size of the tri z wont fit the YTM 225 forks? does anyone know, are the tri z forks longer? will they fit into the YTM front end or do I need to switch out and use the whole front end of the tri z? I love the way the tri Z sits.
That 225DX is having a serious identity crisis Ghost..it's kinda tripping me out!!
Got a pic of the rear axle?? I have to see how you got that disk system setup.

Im not sure if there was a detailed build thread of not. But i saw it once, forgot about it. Then someone brought it up again and then i saved the picture so i wouldnt forget about it. Ill try to search for it tonight or dig up some more details. It got me curious too because as we all know it was originally drum breaks. And then i thought it was a rear end from something else. But then again its shaft driven.
Maybe someone will see that and say oh yea, thats mine.
Or know whos it is.
it belongs to Derrick Adams
I did the conversion on my dx, the best thing to do is just get a whole tri z front end, and yes the tri z forks are ALOT bigger/taller than the dx it will make it stand up like 3-4 inches maybe more! But if you do the front end swap you have to do some modification to it, for it to fit in good

I have seen it in person, very nice rider. I believe Derrick heavily modified the swing arm and used a shock from another machine. There is a thread on it here.
If I remember correctly he welded another shaft to it to extend it, I think he put wheel spacers on it, and used a raptor shock, I'll see if I can find the thread he had for it

At what point does it become easier to just buy a TRI Z and put your YTM plastics on it? lol
So... using my YTM front forks, will the tri Z front wheel (With axle) work or will the Axle not fit the holes in the forks?
I would check for you but it is way to cold here for me to be tinkering in the yard we are -12 deg outside
