Couple of pictures of my trikes on the ice

Figured I would share some pictures of my collection, since I enjoy seeing everyone else's collection.

The ice was 6" thick... Thick enough to be playing around in the bay.

We'll start with the big 3. 85x on the left, 86 250r in the middle, 85 X on the right.





The little 84 125. Family owned since new. Hence my username.

I was too scared to bring my 600 lb 400 foreman out to be in the picture.

Smooth as a mirror. Trikes wouldn't budge out there. If the ice was thicker I would of brought out the studded tires.

I never did stud a set of bike or trike tires. Made for some crazy rides. There was one time I was out on Lake Winnipeg with two other guys and we started on hardpacked snow and did a top end blast. At the end of the run we ran out of hard pack and ended on snow polished ice. I went into a spin that I swear went on for a 1/2 mile in the direction of the East shore. It was well below 0 but there was a good 50 feet of open water on the shore. I ended up going into it at low speed and the other guys stopped just short of the water. The bottom was deeper than I could reach and I ended up swiming and pushing the upside down trike till I found bottom. Damn it was cold! They found a path to the beach and came to help me. We drained the air box, pulled the plug and air filter and got it running before the recoil froze, then it was straight back to the cabin on the beach and directly to the wood stove. So many stupid things we did that should have got us killed... Be SAFE ot there!!!

Sounds like quite the story to remember. I've been riding this lake as long as I can remember, there is only two spots that are no go's. I even bring the fullsize Jimmy out there to plow me an ice track when there is too much snow for my Atv plow.

Do you live on the lake, or just spend your weekends out there?

I live in the city, but we own a cottage in the country, on the lake. Aswell as 60 acres of forest behind the cottage. I spend every second I can there. I can't stand the city.

Sweet! My Dad has a cabin on the Ontario border, only place on the whole lake. Hard to get there, but worth it. I try to get up to it once a year.

Always neat to see trikes side by side and compare size. Since I have never owned many of the performance trikes I'm not use to them besides pictures. I also never got to ride on ice. All of which I hope one day I get to experience.

Thanks a lot man, if I could move there I would. But commuting to work everyday would be terrible.

I Ice fish the odd time, I've never really been big into it.

I prefer to fish in my boat in the summer. It is much warmer than sitting in a cold ice hut!

I was riding on some frozen puddles and some roads covered in ice. 0 traction. Scary and fun at the same time. Would be awesome to be on a ice track.
