nothing wrong with Mickey asking about his placements in races for those years. Why not have it brought back out, I think it deserves to be brought up if Barnett was claiming to have beaten him and other legends of the day.

I wasn't going to chime in. It's really none of my concern in the scheme of things. Hell, I'm probably disliked around here just as much as Barnett. I just read this in its entirety. I think the point has been made that Mickey was trying to get across in his original post. Why not just have a mod lock it before someone gets outta hand. Face it. We all know where threads like this end up going. It's unbecoming of our community. Just sayin.

I disagree. I think it's a testament to this site & tight-knit community. We don't like to be BS'd.

The way I see, it seems that Barnett joined this site looking for attention. Rather than earn peoples respect over time, he decided to blow his past all out of proportion, so he could be looked up to and earn instant respect, and someone called him on it. Maybe, the night before he joined this site, he had just spent the night in a Holiday Inn Express?

As it stands now, Barnett still has some good, valid information & tips to pass on (albeit in some very long-winded posts), but since this relationship was started, based on fibs/lies, or whatever you want to call them, other members are a lot less tollerant of him.
