    SX decal set....opinions wanted

Hey fellas, I have been kicking around the thought of purchasing a set of repop decals to reapply to my SX. Back in the 80's I decided I liked the look of it better without the factory decals, and opted for the Honda wings on the tank, and I actually pulled the rest, opting to the clean look. Now, all these years later, I am thinking about going back to factory. I was curious as to what all of you thought, leave as is, or go back to the factory stickers

A pic of my Sx, with the decals I put on back in the day. Btw, since this pic was taken I pulled all of the decals you see on the fenders off. I guess back in the day I thought they looked cool.

Here is a pic of the sticker set I am thinking of buying, its from Harlan.

I don't have his email address on me at the moment, but I'll post it up tomorrow.
He has all the other decals as well, I just didn't picture them.

Buy the stickers and put them to the side and leave it as is. You will always have them should you change your mind.

Obviously, they wouldn't be original, but does anyone know if there is a readily available source for "250SX" decals that look like the "350X" rear fender decals? I know I could have them made , but I have seen them on a couple trikes and didn't know if I missed the source.

Well, I went ahead and ordered, received and installed Harlans decals, and man, I am pretty impressed. They are very nice, and went on like a dream. It's great to have it back to OE, it reminds me of when I got it new back in 85. Oh, I also put some new gravel grippers on the back as well.
Here are some pics with the new decals installed. I went ahead and left the warning ones off the tank, but put them both aside in case down the road I want to throw them on.

Day-umm! Looks like you stored the plastics upside down- no sag at all, even on the leading edge of the front fender. Nice job

You made the right choice . Now go ahead and put the warning decals on . looks great . I have a pretty nice 85 , with the " lived in look " I've thought about re-doing the tank with new decals , but decided I like it the way it is . One thing I do on the SX is to make a front mud flap and stock the OEM flap on the shelf . I buy a 11.00 dollar black plastic trash can , use the OEM flap as a template and make many front flaps for cheap . Melts down no big deal .
Anyway ,,, very nice machine ,,, I love it .
