what bearings are you messing with? If it's the front or rear axle, I use an iron rod about an inch in diameter to stick through from the other side andthe bearing out. Lots of wd40 won't hurt anything either.
If you just lay it on the floor and take a 12" 3/8 drive extension and hit it with a BFH using the round side, they will come out. If you have never used heat to remove a bearing I would not recommend it, you can really do some damage if you get it too hot.
I got mine out by getting a long but thin pipe, put the end of the pipe (or something long you can hit) on one side of the bearing, give it a good wack. Then put the pipe on the bearing again but directly on the other side and hit it again. Repeat this as needed, but be shure to only hit it in the same two spots, this will not give it a chance to reset itself. If that dosen't work send me a plane ticket and i'll get it out for you. :bounce
