I don't have a 350X tank/shrouds to compare the 85/86 250R shrouds to, but from my memory of what a 350X tank looks like, I just can't imagine the 250R shrouds fitting cleanly at all. You'd probably be better off making some shrouds out of sheet metal or fiberglass for the 350X, and designing them to mimic 250R shrouds, rather than trying to make them fit.

I'm usually a stickler for wanting things as close as original as possible, but to an extent. I'm perfectly fine with reproduction fenders and plastics in general so long as they match the year of the trike, but it's things like decals, engines etc that I'm picky about. Basically as long as it's clean and looks pretty close to original I'm fine. But every so often I get a hair in a place it don't shine and want to see some odd combinations lol.
